In our first episode of our "Twinspiration" series, we interview the people who inspire us the most: our mom and dad! Lonnie and Michelle Somers are entrepreneurs and philanthropists who started the Fetal Health Foundation, a non-profit which provides support and awareness for families facing complications during pregnancy, after their own babies (that's us!) were saved from a life-threatening fetal syndrome against all odds. Listen here or anywhere you get podcasts!
In this episode, Lonnie and Michelle talk about their experience with a fetal syndrome, how they were inspired to start the foundation, and what keeps them motivated to always put others first. Michelle praises Lonnie for his ability to connect with people, Lonnie shares that he wouldn't be where he is today without Michelle by his side, and there is an awkward pause where they stop to make out. They also share the unbelievable story of how they met, and Aspen and Ashley challenge them on if it was truly love at first sight. Aspen thanks Lonnie for turning her into a workaholic, and Ashley asks her parents what they thought of twins before they had them.
Every other week, we sit down to talk with the people who inspire us in "Twinspiration." Each episode starts with our "Good News Minute," your daily dose of uplifting news, and ends with our guests sharing their favorite inspirational quotes.
